Currently there are multiple sensory modalities being researched to treat Alzheimer’s disease, and a variety of cognitive degenerative diseases and impairments. In all of this research, the use of 40HZ gamma brainwave entrainment seems to be the key. 40hz visual, auditory, and tactile stimulation is proving to have positive results in Alzheimer’s patients, improving their memory, cognition, and overall mood and wellbeing. My paper will give a brief overview of some of the current research, and why 40HZ is so effective.
