Icaros, (Songs of the plants) that Peruvian shaman sing during ayahuasca (visionary tea) ceremonies are said to be learnt from the plants and trees of the Amazonian rainforest. They are considered to be the backbone of the ceremonies. Icaros come in the form of the shaman who sings them. Sound has been used throughout time around the Earth in multiple forms to promote many different healing effects and benefits.
