In my research, I have found many exciting articles on music. One of these articles is a Ted Talks video on You Tube by Evelyn Glennie.
She is a deaf percussionist, and the subject of her talk is “How to Truly Listen.”
She explains that listening to music is more than letting the sound waves hit your eardrums. We need to hear music and sound through our bodies, and to feel the vibration through our hands and every part of the body.
It is amazing to watch her play and to hear the beautiful expression and feeling she creates just by listening with her body to feel the vibrations of the sound.
