All throughout my childhood I was plagued with social anxiety that left me paralyzed in a state of extreme introversion. I had a fear of social situations, and my anxiety shot through the roof every time I talked with people, sometimes shaking physically if I had to speak up in a classroom setting. If I were to describe the feeling of this, it would be a ball of tension stuck in my throat, which physically prevented me from verbalizing and enunciating words with ease and clarity.
