This study investigated the effect of low magnitude, low frequency (LMLF) mechanical vibrations on the osteogenic differentiation potential of human adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells (hASC), taken from elderly patients. Findings suggest that LMLF vibrations could be used to enhance cell-based therapies for treatment of bone deficits, particularly in elderly patients, where the need is greatest.
