Movement and Dance are one of the oldest traditions used in almost every culture in some form or another. In my paper, we explore a few different ways in which dance has the power to heal and transform. We look at dance as a tool for healing trauma, releasing unexpressed emotions, and as a way to connect to our divinity. We also explore the 5 Rhythms, a method developed by Gabrielle Roth, as a unique introduction into the power of movement.
