Several researchers have also suggested that the pineal gland may prove to be more than just a hormonal production gland, that it may have a visual function. In the human pineal gland, the photoreceptors cells have evolved into “cone-like modified photoreceptor cells” known as pinealocytes. “Through stimulation of the pineal gland, neuromelanin is produced. Neuromelanin, a light-sensitive compound triggers the release of a substance which contains phosphorus, a light-producing chemical. By stimulating the pineal gland through vocal harmonics, it may be possible that actual fields of light around the body are enhanced."

Although there are many methods of releasing grief, people experiencing it are often hindered by the fact that grief can virtually encompass every emotion there is and just when you think you’ve got a handle on it, another one can show up full force without warning. Grief, I have discovered, is a multi-layered process that seems to evolve and change as time goes on and so there is no “one” prescription or answer when it comes to healing or releasing it. What may work one time may not work another—at least that’s how it has been for me.

There is a sacred world around us. First I thought that the name for this written work should be the secret world around us, but actually is not secret. It has always been there, in front of us all the time, interacting with us, making our lives possible, balancing the energies of nature, life and dead. It’s all about to open our eyes, the eyes of the heart and this world will become accessible to us. The vibrations of life, the energy and spirit within everything and all. This world is called by many the “world of the elementals” or “The faery world” “The world of the Gods” there are many names for these worlds among us.

Here we are; it’s the year 2012 and human beings have become successfully inundated with sensational media portrayals of apocalyptic events supposedly prophesied by several mysterious ancient cultures. A blanket of fear and doubt for the future has been cast upon us and many have become deeply entrained into this grim mindset. However, alongside this fear-based and almost self-fulfilling desire for catastrophe is emerging an alternative view of the possibilities of these times. It is becoming a more and more common thread of awareness that we as a species, are beginning to wake up to our true potential and are now remembering ascendant knowledge that has been lying dormant within our DNA for thousands of years. A new dawn is upon us and we are finally moving back up the scale of consciousness and into a level that is conducive to a not-so-new evolutionary step. It is now time to receive and activate the tools and gifts that have been provided to us in order to fully achieve this asc...

Sound healing can have positive effects on people. I wanted to see how sound healing would effect people in early recovery stages from drugs and alcohol. I went to a live-in program that housed people in early recovery. There were six men that were available to receive a treatment on a group level. I gave them all a questionnaire to fill out before and after.

The findings of my research to date have explored various ways in which sound healing can release stuck emotions using the human voice, intention and vibration. My new studies in Chinese medicine complement and extend these to include the use of breath and use of tuning fork on acupuncture points to restore yin/yang balance and harmony.

As sound becomes the new modality, I’ve begun to review the Tibetan bowls as a new venue. With the history of the bowls as stated “the sound of the void”, Bodhisattva Gwalawa Kamapa, the Tibetan bowls manifest the sound of the universe manifesting. The sound acts upon the physical while the sound is healing to the cellular level.

Because I am a massage therapist I was interested to look at whether people are using tuning forks as a substitute for trigger point therapy. Can the vibration of tuning forks replace massage? My internet research showed a lot of people are using tuning forks to enhance their treatments. I found people are using tuning forks in massage. Research showed tuning forks are used as a treatment by itself and also to enhance other treatments such as trigger points, acupressure and Chinese meridians.

Sound healing is fast becoming internationally respected as an effective modality in the healing process for many physical, emotional, and spiritual conditions. Healing on the other hand is a process infinite in nature. Some definitions of healing include: “the making or becoming whole”, “the mending of a breach”, “to free from grief, troubles, evil”, “restoring to health or soundness”; and “an intuitive perception of the universe and all its inhabitants as being of one fabric.” Present day healers are now discovering the science behind the powerful ancient method of sound and vibration healing.

The use of vibration is a powerful tool that not only affects the energy, emotions, & spirit of matter, but matter itself; this is not pseudo-science (as some medias would have you believe) but a documented phenomena that connects sound to colour, to frequency, to every living cell (or parasite for example). The science behind using specific vibrations to resonate small organisms – such as cells, bacteria, & viruses – is documented starting in the 1930's by Royal Raymond Rife. The validity behind Rife's research and life (including his wikipedia article) has come greatly into question by many medical science groups, who have made it difficult for the general public to find concrete information on Rife's life.

The term Cymatics was coined by Dr Hans Jenny (1904-1972) and is the study of visible sound and vibration. Dr Jenny was a Swiss doctor, artist, and researcher who pioneered the science of Cymatics. He demonstrated what happens when certain materials like sand, salt, water, and other viscous substances, are placed on vibrating metal plates and membranes, which mirrored forms found throughout nature, art, and architecture. These patterns were created using simple sine wave vibrations (pure tones) within the audible range. So what you see is a physical representation of vibration, or how sound manifests into form through the medium of various materials.
