I chose this topic on the healing power of laughter because laughter has always been a constant in my life. I have a reputation for a loud, hearty, infectious laugh. People can identify me a mile away just by my laugh. I grew up with a father who was a vaudeville comedian, we laughed, that’s what we did. No one has ever truly understood my laughter and light heartedness as a coping mechanism, stress reliever and a way of looking at things in this world from a different perspective keeping the mind sharp. In fact, in the corporate world where I spent most of my career, I was labeled an alcoholic, although I don’t drink, because these serious mongers couldn’t comprehend anybody laughing, unless they were inebriated. I never climbed the ladder much in corporate, but I did have a good time and made my co workers happier people in a toxic environment. Seriousness can be deadly, and my niche is to spread the laughter. Just as Vibrational Sound Therapy is coming mainstrea...

What is creativity? When it comes to neuroscience, the answer rests in the ability to take information that we already have and apply it in a new way. Reality, reimagined. It bypasses common associations and creates something never thought of before. At least in that mind. One of the most central brain states to achieve this sort of originality is in the Alpha Wave...  "DISCOVERING A PATH TO HEALING" a case study regarding a personal experience with two different vibrational therapies.  A very recent situation unfolded concerning my mom and how she was offered a 'Sound Balancing' session with a client of hers.  She had told me how excited she was for this session even though the practitioner was brand new at this modality.  After the session, my mother dealt with an extremely negative experience mentally and physically and couldn't find her way out of a deep hole of sadness and depression until another client of hers offered a way out.  Neuroptimal is a brain training system using a range of frequencies to train the brain and re-center it back into a state of stability and comfort.  My mom felt completely better after one Neuroptimal session and hasn't looked back since.  I go into detail on both vibrational therapies which when used properly, can offer great results for most clients. discovering path to healing

Peter Wohllebens book “The Hidden Life of Trees” made the public aware that plants communicate with each other. However, research has been going on for a long time. Scientists were experimenting and exploring how plants let us know what is going on with them. And how they communicate with each other. There is a sound healing hospital located in Saqqara, Egypt, at the base of the Step Pyramid of Djoser. This site has high stone piezoelectric walls that conduct geologic resonance. The geologic resonance of the structure allows for connection between correlated locations of the site where patient and healer would each take their rightful positions. Through this connection utilizing the human voice and the stone itself, biorhythmic resonance was established between patient and healer that allowed for vibrational healing to take place. Flowing water and intentional healing frequency ranges in the architecture turn out to be hidden helpers along the way, and thus begins the story of the Sound Hospital in the Desert. Life- Don’t take it seriously. Seriousness is a disease of the ego. It is one of the root causes of disease in the human body. Seriousness is stress, rigidity, depression, negativity, lowers the immune system, encourages separateness from others and upholds dogma. If you block yourself access to the child within because you’re too serious, you block your connection to the divine light and your feminine self. Every creator who’s any good, uses their feminine side to create with, whether a scientist working on a hunch, a painter working with the interplay of colors, or a musician dealing with the juxtaposition of notes and chords. Enter Humor, lightening up and Laughter, the best combater of stress and seriousness. Laughter therapy Yoga

The Paper is called 'Healing the seed' as it's a research about the vibration that happens at the very beginning of our lives and how vibration and sound guide our growth and development during our gestation in the womb. Based on that research, I created a guided meditation that has the intention of helping people connect to their seeds through the heart and bring it to complete health and harmony. For the presentation, I recorded the meditation, so my idea is to share the link with everyone in the class so that we all do it simultaneously. Here's the recording.  Healing the Seed_Gigi Debiasi

Findhorn Garden was a marvel of the 1960's.  In a wasteland of sand and gravel, three adults, later four, and three sons, created a magical garden by communicating spiritually, and doing a lot of inner listening.  Devas of all kinds, tomato, foxglove,. rain deva, apple deva, Angel of Sound, Landscape Angel and more gave guidance to the gardeners.  Listening with their inner selves, bringing the intention and focus of love, created a stunning abundance of food for all and grew into a spiritual community that today attracts visitors from all over the world. Drumming affects the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies simultaneously, helping to bring them into harmony while raising the vibratory rate to levels that may allow the body to accelerate its innate healing abilities. Drumming reminds our body of its ideal vibratory rate, which is in harmony with the pulse of the earth and the Universal flow of creation. These concepts are foundational to Drumiostasis. *Excerpt from Reiki and Drumming. by Michael Baird and Laurelle Shanti Gaia Kehaulani Filippelli Final Paper 9 28 19 SH100

Short Description
I’ve been a student of Spirit, Meditation & Sound for the past 5 years. While walking the spiritual path I’ve also walked the pragmatic path of Industrial Design for product and experience in the past 16 years. The art of creative expression in service of Business, Mass manufacturing, and Technology has taught me valuable lessons about human behavior, perception, and the essential nature of intuition in a world quantified and directed by data. I’ve learned that while powerful; exclusively rational frameworks are simply incomplete, and enable the creation of dehumanizing systems. As an experience designer, Breathwork meditation guide, and sound healing student, I’m at a unique position to bridge rational frameworks and emotional/spiritual experience. This is important because when we experience spiritually meaningful/healing moments, we open up to the presence of spirit in ourselves and in others, and our mind based illusion of separateness from fellow humans and fro...

My final paper is about using art as a form of sound healing. For my final project, I experimented with using crystal infused artwork and how this could enhance a sound healing. Through my experiments, I have found that viewing an image can impact us in a very different way than verbally describing a scene. I want to expand upon this idea in the future and take my artwork to a new level of healing. I'm interested in using infused materials in all different types of art mediums. In my paper, I explain the process I used to create my watercolors and demonstrate different scenarios where I would use my artwork in a sound healing. art form of healing

Short Description
Frequency-specific microcurrent (FSM) is a technique for treating pain by using low-level electrical current. The current is delivered to certain parts of the body in an attempt to relieve the pain. A frequency is the rate at which a sound wave or electronic pulse is produced. This measurement is registered in hertz (Hz). It was just over a year ago that I first heard about this. After trying other modalities to ‘fix my leg’ I wondered – maybe this one will work. I’m one of millions of people who live thru pain as a normal part of daily life. More like immobility. I am not a complainer, so, most people don’t know about it. And the some that do, well, it irritates me when they try to console me. Or, tell me to “put ice on it.” So I went on a journey the moment vibration / sound / healing were all mentioned our first week of Summer Intensive. I started researching area therapists – found a training seminar in Italy ☺ but settled for an appointment here in the Bay Area ...
