This paper is on imaginal cells. They are the cells that lay dormant in a caterpillar and have the DNA of the butterfly written into them. In this paper I explore the different elements of the metamorphosis process and shine some light on usually misstated facts. I also draw the comparison to human beings and their role as imaginal cells on this planet. I've also made a video presentation to be viewed after reading the paper. This video is part of the final presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9PCqKy8VbY&feature=youtu.be&ab_channel=HollyMiranda Full paper here: HollyMirandaGrice_FinalPaper

As early as in utero, sound plays a substantial role in our development and wellbeing as humans. Sounds of the amniotic fluid, the heart beat the mother’s voice and other sounds outside of the womb can all be heard. A baby in utero doesn’t hear in the same way that we hear sounds as they are muffled by water, placenta and mothers tissues, so tone and volume play a big part in what babies can actually hear. The ears develops early in the gestation process, within the second month. By the 18th week the baby can hear and by 26 weeks that baby can recognize sounds and voices. Some of the most familiar and loud sounds are the mothers heart beat, breath, blood flowing most significantly the sound of the mother's voice. Sound Healing Paper

There are many ways we can raise our frequency levels through the way we think, eat, and so many other ways. When it comes to stress, we tend to fall back into low frequency patterns because its comfortable even though the result is making us feel worse. For me food is a major factor when it comes to the way I deal with stress. I used to eat a bunch of junk food which eventually made me sick. Once I was introduced Dr. Sebi’s alkaline foods, herbs, and minerals, my vibrations increased with every day I made a commitment to bettering myself. Alkaline foods heighten your vibration so much you feel like you could begin to levitate. Through changes I made to my health I noticed a significant change in my mindset as well and the way I was living my life. It’s never to late to make the changes necessary to better our life, and by doing that, we change those around us as well. Raising Frequency through Alkaline Foods

The most common experiences encompass detachment from the body, levitation, serenity, security, warmth, absolute dissolution, as well as the presence of otherworldly light and sound. The formless, that which we seek to understand through geometry, has no geometry. An acknowledgement of the source of and the limitations of geometry, learning, and knowledge. What are we learning when we are learning? Is it geometry or biology or mathematics or music? In a sense yes, but in a deeper sense, not entirely. I believe that all disciplines have the capacity to lead us to the same truths, that all forms lead us to the Formless. Ode to the Nonexistent- On the Nature of Form, Geometry, and Learning

This presentation is about Poetry as a sound healing practice. It looks as poetry, specifically spoken word, as an ancient spiritual art and explores its inherent healing potential. By looking at one poet’s journey, it is possible to see how the act of fearlessly writing and speaking the burning truths within, poetry can offer discovery, self-awareness, self-acceptance, self-love and even a peak at self-mastery. healing sounds-of-poetry-no-movie-sm Body-Word-Sound-healing-with-poetry-Blake-More

This paper is an exploration of the various ways that bird song could be related to sound healing. It begins with a Hafiz poem referencing bird sound as a possible remedy for disharmony and distress. From that more esoteric introduction, the paper moves to information from scientific researchers exploring the effects of bird song on humans, as therapy in and of itself, as well as in combination with outdoor natural environments for reducing stress and improving overall health. The paper also touches on the subject of using birdsong for establishing circadian rhythms where light is lacking or subjects are unable to tolerate light. A large portion of the paper discusses the relationship between birdsong and plants, exploring the research in the development of Dan Carlson's Sonic Bloom, and how it opens us to understanding how much we don't know about the inter-relationships in the natural world, not only between plants and birds, but the rich tapestry of connections among ...

Have you ever sung in a Choir or played in a Band? Do you enjoy listening to songs on the radio, in the grocery store, or from your favorite album? I’m willing to bet the answer to (at least) the latter is a manyfold “yes”! In today’s world, Music is played and consumed in Equal Temperament Tuning, and has been since the 18th Century. This Tuning System does lots of good, as Instruments can play with each other in all keys without issue. However, it’s widely believed that Equal Temperament isn’t perfectly in synch with ratios found in Nature; Pure Intervals (occurring naturally) consist of Whole Number Ratios of frequencies. Thus, a Tuning System harnessing the Ratios found in Nature could affect us differently than Equal Temperament (which we are all inevitably accustomed to). Enter: Just Intonation! Short Description
As I sat down to finish this paper tonight, I had worked a full day at my busy job, swung by the post office, heated up left overs, opened my computer while grabbing a few bites and decided to listen to a podcast while I was getting settled, eating and beginning to write! My earbuds, though connected, would not play the audio of the podcast so I tested the audio on my playlist called “chants.” The audio worked fine with my chants and immediately, I stopped the crazy multi-tasking I was not born to do. I closed the computer, listened to the chants and ate my food. I slowed down, feeling the descending speed of chewing, tasting my food, noticing my digestive system saying, “thank you!.” When my mind started to re-discuss past conversations of the day or what I wanted to add to this paper, I was able to hear the chatter and make a choice to listen to the sounds of the chants and accompanying music. While not singularly immersed in the the sound meditation since I was eating...
