Humming is acknowledged as a way to “harmonize” body and mind, but it is important to understand what makes a hum so enlivening and healthy. The miracle of the human body is that when the air pressure is just right the vocal cords produce a regular soundwave which resonates through our whole being and carries our sound without effort thanks to the wisdom and creativity of the human body. The vibrational effects of humming on the body are of high benefits physically, mentally and emotionally. The inner muscles of our body allow the vocal cords to vibrate and to resonate through our bones and cells. The vagus nerve is stimulated through the vibration from humming; this nerve branches out and connects your body’s major organs to facilitate the mind-body connection. Vagus nerve fibres found throughout your stomach and intestines, diaphragm, heart, lungs, throat, inner ear and faci...

In this paper I first introduce the term entheogen and talk about the effects of one of the most famous entheogens, amazonian DMT rich brew called ayahuasca. Then I focus on music that traditionally accompanies ayahuasca ceremonies, on songs called "icaros", how they originate and how they function. In the next part I talk about the use of less traditional music that I personally have experience with during the ceremonies, the mantras. I explain what role music plays in the ceremonies, why even unpleasant music can be very healing and how important it is for the process of integration after the entheogenic experience. Crystals have captivated us humans for many centuries. From mystics to scientists, many of us still believe in the healing energies of crystals and gemstones, with good reason. As Einstein said, “Everything is energy” and with that, crystals carry their own unique energies, unique to the different types of crystals, as well as unique to the individual crystals. They are as unique as snowflakes, no two are identical, which incidentally, snowflakes are considered crystals too! Crystals - How They Work to Help and Heal Us

"Deep inside I feel that this world we live in is really a big, huge, monumental symphonic orchestra. I believe that in its primordial form all of creation is sound and that it's not just random sound, that it's music. You've heard the expression, music of the spheres? Well, that's a very literal phrase. In the Gospels, we read, "And the Lord God made man from the dust of the Earth and breathed into his nostrils the Breath of Life and man became a living soul.” That Breath of Life to me is the music of life and it permeates every fiber of creation. In one of the pieces of the Dangerous album, I say: "Life songs of ages, throbbing in my blood, have danced the rhythm of the tide and flood." This is a very literal statement, because the same new miracle intervals and biological rhythms that sound out of the architecture of my DNA also govern the movement of the stars. The same music governs the rhythm of the seasons, the pulse of our heartbeats, the migration of birds, the ebb and flo...

The Art of the Nigun presents the concept of the wordless melody which is part of the religious Hasidic Jewish tradition. Drawing parallels between the Nigun and the effects of contemporary voice healing modalities, this paper gives the historic background, musical influences, Hebrew biblical references and Rabbinical quotes regarding the healing and mystical powers of the nigun. An experience of a Rabbinical student after singing a nigun is analyzed and compared to the language people often use when describing how they felt during an energetic healing experience. Color drives joy drives the connection to things seen and unseen. Humans have worked on light and pigment color theories for centuries, each building on the next and eventually incorporating anatomical understanding of the eye. Attempts at classification systems for color continue, but the variations between each human’s perception seem to make a universal classification system out of the question. In the end we are each responsible for our use of color energies to find consistent presence and well-being.

There is more to the human body than meets the eye. We readily accept our physical anatomy because it can be easily experienced by our somatic senses of sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. But we have another body, a "Subtle Body" of energy that co-exists with the temporal material of our being. This energetic body is not as easily detected for many humans, it truly lives up to its' name: subtle. Although ever-present, without tuning into it you will not experience what this field of energy has to offer you....

My paper, entitled, Star Songs, explores using the cosmic currents to inform sound and wellness practices to support highest wellbeing. Each planet has it’s own unique physical and energetic properties as well as it’s own specific frequency. This frequency be octavized down to a frequency we can hear, and assigned a note on the musical scale. We can then use these musical frequencies to inform how we work with ourselves, individuals or groups in relation what is happening astrologically. We can design sound sessions that support the energies of the moment and incorporate other complimentary healing practices as well. FinalPaper_GingerKesey

Water plays a vital role in our lives. Not only does water make up 71% of the Earth’s surface, but it also makes up 55-75% of our human body. Macro to micro. It plays a pivotal role in the survival of our species, animals and plants. Unfortunately, much of the water in the world has become polluted to some degree, some dangerously so. It’s important to understand this because water impacts the human form: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. The great news is that humans can play a direct role in impacting not only the water around them, but also the water living within them, leading to a healthier state. My interest was piqued when Randy Masters mentioned that he used to have an Orgone Accumulator. Since I had never heard of such a device, nor indeed of Orgone, and since I respect Randy as such a mine of fascinating and well-researched information, I knew instantly that I wanted to learn more about it. During this Sound Healing and Therapy Certificate Program, I have developed a particular interest in how to best create the optimal environment for healing and spiritual advancement. This had mostly led me to explore the use of pyramids and crystal grids, but the discovery of Orgonite excited me because it adds a new dimension to my endeavour. However, it would be remiss of me not to mention that in the process of researching Orgone and Orgonite, I have come upon much disagreement and it has not always been easy to pick the wheat from the chaff! As such, I do not claim to have all of the answers, but instead my aim is to present to you an objective overview of what I have ...
