As soon as I started this sound therapist certification course, I was presented with a challenge unlike any I’ve ever experienced before. My husband of two years asked for a divorce. My future with him, the family we were going to have, everything was taken away. In chaos comes great opportunity, if you don't die. Whatever you do, try not to die and things can change. I had to keep it that simple.

This paper is about frisson, the sensation of having a physical reaction in response to aesthetic stimuli. This reaction is not common and occurs from the result of activation to the amygdala and hypothalamus or activation to the sympathetic nervous system. However, it is also possible to experience frisson from stimuli perceived as negative. In this case, adrenaline is pumped through the body triggering the fight or flight response. This paper looks at a few examples of activation from stimulus that causes physical reactions in our body.

A rare application of Taoist medicine, previously reserved for the Emperor and his family, utilizes chi projection along the spine of the patient to bring about homeostasis. Whereas learning to project one's energy requires years of dedicated practice and hours of daily practice, by using tuning forks in lieu of energetic projection, a practitioner can begin to administer this effective treatment almost immediately. In this paper, learn about the history of this method of treatment, how it's currently done and how tuning forks can be integrated.

In learning about the various tools used in sound healing, it became apparent that they could also be used while helping clients organize their homes and offices. To understand how to do this, I did research on the internet to see if there were other Professional Organizers combining sound healing with their organizing work.

Low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) therapy, a form of therapeutic ultrasound, has emerged as a groundbreaking modality for accelerating bone fracture healing. Inspired by both the natural world, and incredible advances in radar technology, researchers are rapidly developing devices capable of delivering pulsating sound waves to targeted areas of the body, including bones, muscle tissue, and skin. Numerous studies have already demonstrated LIPUS's ability to reduce healing time, and promote successful fracture repair. LIPUS therapy has the promise of revolutionizing the use and awareness of sound therapy in medical care.

One of the services I offer clients is therapeutic custom sound bath journeys to reset their vibrational set point, so they become a vibrational match to the life they most desire. Intention and affirmation are part of the process to create the sound bath with voice. I decided to collect data on the sound healing formula, Sound + Intention = Outcome to help support the validity of these sound bath journeys.

In this paper, I am going to look at the space & energy of silence as not only a component of sound but of a necessary connection or link one needs to make in order to WAKE UP!
The Tantra, from the Sat Cakra Nirupana, informs us that everything is a vibratory frequency between energy & consciousness. This means that if I learn to vibrate at that frequency, I can become a magician! (choudary, 2023) In this vibration we can enter and dwell within to become a boon to health & happiness. This energy dance, the dance between shiva or consciousness and shakti or energy is called spanda. There is a certain equilibrium—balance-- attunement when one dwells in this energy. And, it is available right here right now in this very next breath you take. This paper will explore HAMSA, and AUMs as mantras working with the breath and the concept of turiya-- or silence.

My final paper is on how sound is used for healing and communication throughout the animal kingdom. It is inherent in nature to use sound to self-soothe. Mimicking sounds from infancy can bring healing and relaxation to animals in distress. There is much research still to do and many applications as this field develops. Sound is a powerful force that can unite all creatures.
