Qawwali is an ecstatic form of devotional Sufi music. The music is filled with fast drums, clapping, and ecstatic singing, usually accompanied by a harmonium. Most will agree that the Persian saint Hazrat Amir Khusraw, who lived from 1253 until 1325 created the traditional from. Although the style is rooted in religious music, it has crossed into the secular music; you can find it being played outside temples, saints tombs, or in Bollywood films. The effect of the music puts the listener into a trance like state of silence or ecstasy, which is all welcomed at a qawwali performance. The term Qawwali represents the genre of religious music, the occasion it is played, and the Qawwal are the expert musicians playing the music.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce the tradition, celebration of Dia de Los Muertos, Day of the Dead, as a healing ritual or modality for grieving the loss of loved ones through death. Dia de los muertas (Day of the Dead) is a major day of celebration in the Mexican culture.
Death of our loved ones, whether it be family or friends or another significant person in our lives, is a traumatic and sad event, but the Latin culture elevates and deals with deep grief with celebratory events on November 2nd each year. This custom has roots in the ancient Indigenous culture there--Aztec, Mayan & other Indian cultures. Later, when the Spanish arrived in Mexico, this celebration was integrated into the Catholic Religious traditions. With the wave of evangelization, the Day of the Dead rituals have taken different forms, however, pre-Hispanic elements remain predominant.

"As defined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine, Addiction is a “primary, chronic disease of brain reward, motivation, memory and related circuitry. Dysfunction in these circuits leads to characteristic biological, psychological, social and spiritual manifestations. Addiction is characterized by an inability to consistently abstain, impairment in behavioral control, craving, diminished recognition of significant problems with one’s behaviors and interpersonal relationships, and a dysfunctional emotional response. Like other chronic diseases, addiction often involves cycles of relapse and remission. Without treatment or engagement in recovery activities, addiction is progressive and can result in disability or premature death."

The book has expanded my understanding of intention in a way that I never expected. "This paper includes the story of how I received a message from an earth Spirit while doing a vision quest in Mount Shasta, in June 2016. I received a message about how the earth suffers, as well as a mantra accompanied by a rhythm that can be sung in certain places in order to create a powerful positive vibration that help raise the vibration of the earth and "heal" the planet. I studied in detail the effectiveness of the mantra if it is sung with correct pronunciation, pitch and rhythm. Then I mentioned the Hopi prophecy and the 'Gaia' principle. I explained how these correlate and help us understand the critical situation of the planet today. Finally I describe Grid Work, what it is, how it works, and how doing that work (do ceremonies in different specific parts of the world) can help heal the planet. This final project paper is about the the transformative instrument known as the gong. It is a tool by which we are engulfed in total sound, and through our intuition, we are brought back to optimum health and balance. The gong is a supportive tool for the manifestation of our harmonious physical, mental, and emotional being. The OM tone of a gong creates total silence within. The sustained tone of a gong creates timelessness. The building of its tone combinations and creates a sense of levitation or lightness. It is the unique quality of a gong’s resonance that integrates diverse elements into a power of synergy, or functional harmony. We also call the tone produced by the gong a “feeling tone,” because we feel it in our body, as well as hear it.

and their meanings; not being taught in conjunction with universal law. Magnetism,

indeed electromagnetic beings in this cosmic whole creating and attracting our
realities. And finally hip hop, one of I believe, the most powerful manifestation
tool at our disposal in the universe. Which today, has been twisted by the
mainstream into black magic, used to program and brainwash our youth.
